Islamic Weekend School of Clifton
The Islamic Weekend School of Clifton has been education children at the Islamic Association of Cincinnati for the past 18 years, and strives to provide the best Islamic education for our children.
The Islamic Weekend School of Clifton meets weekly on Saturdays from 10:30 am-1:30 pm in the Lower Level Hall from September thru May. Students range in ages from 6-12 years old. The program is Islam and Quran centered, focusing on reading the Quran with the rules of Tajweed and full understanding. Students also learn creed and the biography of our beloved Prophet Muhammed, peace be upon him.
Sister Eman Mahmoud is our principal of the IWSC program.
Imam Ismaeel Chartier and Shaykh Abdallah Deeb are taking lead roles in the IWSC this year, developing curriculum and training teacher for the highest level of success, inshaAllah!

Registration in person ONLY, SPACES ARE LIMITED!
Registration for Islamic Weekend School of Clifton is on Saturday, August 24th and Saturday, August 31st from 12-2 PM in the Men's Prayer Hall Lobby.
Please note that some changes have been made to the registration process for the 2019-2020 school year.
There will only be registration in person for the 2019-2020 school year. Tuition is due in full upon registration. Birth certificates are required for all students, and we are only accepting students ages 6-12 years old. Parents are required to sign a conduct/property damage contract upon registration.
To make enrollment as easy as 1, 2, 3..., we ask parents to come prepared to the registration:
1. Bring Birth Certificates for children who are being enrolled
2. Pay tuition in full (cash, credit card, check & PayPal accepted). $300 for 1 child, $550 for 2 children, $750 for 3 or more children
3. Sign conduct contract
No child under 6 nor over 12 years of age will be accepted.
Students are required to dress according to Islamic standards
No leggings/tight jeans for the girls
Hijab is a requirement for girls
No nail polish
Boy shorts must be worn at the knee or below.
Arrival & Dismissal Policy
Students should arrive at the Clifton Mosque between 10:15-10:30 AM
Students must be in class with all the supplies needed for their classes by 10:30 AM.
Students arriving to class after 10:30 AM will be considered late
3 lates per term will result in a phone call from the Principal
Inform Principal Eman if your child will be absent. Please call the mosque office at 513-221-4003 and leave a message, or email firstname.lastname@example.org
All students must be picked up by 1:30 PM. Any late pick up after 1:45 PM will be charged
Students are encouraged to bring healthy and nutritious snacks
Snack break in the afternoon for 10 mins
Due to an increase in allergies, we strive to be nut free, please ensure your child does not bring any products containing nuts/ peanuts.
Any food packaging label that "may contain" are not allowed in school
Nuts include (but may not be limited to) hazelnuts, pistachios, almonds, peanuts, pecans, walnuts, etc.
Please ensure your child stays home if he/she is sick; vomiting, diarrhea, severe coughing, runny nose and fever.
If the child arrives at school severely ill, the parents will be called to take the child home to prevent other students and staff from falling ill.
Cleanliness & Hygiene
Cleanliness is part of our faith. Please ensure your child's
Clothing and hijabs are washed and cleaned regularly.
Encourage your child to shower regularly and older students are recommended to use deodorant
In order to comply with the safety standards the following safety drills will be conducted throughout the school year
Fire drill - in case of fire inside the building
Lock down procedure - when a threat or hazard is inside the main building. Students maintain silence, and wait for First Responder to open locked door.
Bomb threat drill - students will be evacuated to another location outside the main building
The drills will be thoroughly practiced with the students, in case of emergency. A police officer assigned to our school will be avaliable in the final drill.
